Danny Smith is currently a writer and Executive Producer of the Fox animated television series “Family Guy”. His eighteen-year career as a sit-com writer has included such shows as “Head of the Class”, “Third Rock From the Sun”, “Soul Man”, “Nurses”, “In The House”, and “Yes, Dear”. He has recently written a “Family Guy” companion book, Peter Griffin's Guide to the Holidays for Harper/Collins publishing. As a performer, Mr. Smith is a regular cast member of “Family Guy”, and has also appeared in the television series, “American Dad”, “Zoey 101”, and the feature film Conspiracy Theory. He has performed as a stand-up comic and was once a part of the Los Angeles-based improvisation group The Groundlings, and in comedy showcases at the Acme Theater, also in Los Angeles.
